Abstract

Rapidly developing cataract in idiopathic hypo parathyroidism is rare. Here wereport, a case of cataract which developed rapidly and was associated with idiopathichypo parathyroidism in a 20- year-old female patient. The case is beingreported for its rarity and early diagnosis which was presented in a tertiarycare hospital. For cases like these, prompt treatment is essential which mayresult in prevention of complications like vision loss. As per literature researchvia pubmed.com, this is the first case report of rapidly developing cataract ina patient of idiopathic hypo parathyroidism in Pakistan.
